Step up to Pro for up to 1000 Mbps across your first 1 TiB each UTC calendar month. It combines a higher first-band speed limit with more high-speed data than Plus.

How Pro differs from Plus

Pro provides up to 1000 Mbps for the first 1 TiB used in a UTC calendar month. The next 0.5 TiB runs at up to 300 Mbps; after that, the limit is up to 24 Mbps. Traffic continues beyond the high-speed allowance. Actual speeds depend on the network, server, device and destination.

Plus includes 300 GiB in its first band. Moving to Pro increases the high-speed allowance, but a larger plan is useful only if your usage needs it. Changing tiers does not guarantee lower latency or access to a particular website.

Measured speed and plan limits

FreeGuard internal tests cover Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Pro and Max high-speed bands reached speeds up to 10 times those of other VPNs in tested scenarios. Plus later speed bands reached up to 2 times those of other VPNs, with both the 100 Mbps and 24 Mbps stages included in testing. These multipliers apply to the plans and network scenarios tested; actual speeds vary. They are separate from the service speed limits listed above.

Pro prices and billing periods

The standard card prices checked on September 6, 2026 were $8.99 per week, $19.99 per month and $119.99 per year, in USD. These are separate billing choices. Check the current pricing page for the amount due and available offers. Card subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

Weekly reduces the initial commitment; monthly can suit continuing use; yearly requires paying the annual total upfront. Every option uses the same UTC calendar month for data accounting. A weekly renewal does not reset the monthly allowance.

Should an existing Plus subscriber upgrade?

Choose an upgrade when you want a higher first-band speed limit or more high-speed data. The plan-change flow is the upgrade path for an existing subscription. Review the available change, effective date and any charge before confirming. Actual speed still depends on your connection.

Do not create a second subscription to upgrade an existing one. Billing adjustments and available changes depend on the options shown in your subscription management page.

Does Pro support cryptocurrency payments?

Pro currently uses card checkout. Wallet payment is available for Plus only. Choosing wallet payment after looking at Pro means selecting different Plus entitlements, prices and durations; it does not purchase Pro.

Is Max a better fit?

Max starts with a 2 TiB high-speed band. Consider it when Pro’s 1 TiB band is regularly too small, rather than assuming the most expensive plan is necessary. Review the three-tier comparison or return to Plus.
