Can FreeGuard run at the same time as iCloud Private Relay?
No. iOS gives a configured VPN priority over Private Relay, so Private Relay is off while FreeGuard is connected. This is standard iOS behavior for any third-party VPN.
Why did iOS ask me to add a VPN configuration?
Because FreeGuard uses Apple’s Network Extension framework. On your first connection, iOS asks you to approve the VPN configuration. This happens once per install.
