VPN Protocols: AnyTLS, Hysteria2, and Trojan
Different networks and websites behave differently. FreeGuard lets you switch protocols to balance connectivity, speed, and compatibility.
AnyTLS (Recommended)
Best balance of connectivity and speed for everyday browsing.
- Best for: Most websites, stable access
- When to use: Default option for most users
Hysteria2 (Fast)
Great throughput and low latency for remote desktop, gaming, and streaming. Some websites may restrict it.
- Best for: RDP, games, streaming
- Note: May be blocked on some websites
Trojan (Fallback)
A traditional, compatibility-focused option. Use it when other protocols cannot connect.
- Best for: Blocked sites fallback
- When to use: If AnyTLS/Hysteria2 fail
Quick switching guide
If a website is blocked or your scenario changes, switch protocols in FreeGuard PC settings.
